Dental Braces in Burlington: Various Options for Dental Braces Treatments

We offer various options for orthodontic treatments to our patients. Based on your smile goals, budget and teeth alignment issues, we will provide you with all the options so that you can make an informed decision. We encourage you to book a free consultation with our experienced dentists and discuss your orthodontic treatment options.

Metal Braces

The most common type of dental braces is still traditional metal braces; they are composed of high-grade stainless steel. They are more comfortable and lighter-weight than in the past and straighten your teeth by using metal brackets and arch wires.

Ceramic Braces

Ceramic braces are made of clear materials and are therefore less visible on your teeth than metal braces. While they are visually less prominent, they do require more attention to oral hygiene as ceramic braces are larger and are more brittle than their metal counterparts.

Clear Aligners

Clear Aligners use a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners to straighten your teeth. Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. We offer super affordable ClearCorrect Clear Aligners to our patients who choose this type of orthodontic treatment.

Lingual Braces

Lingual braces are hidden behind the teeth and are therefore don't show when you smile or talk. Lingual braces are fully customized to match the shape of your teeth and therefore the metal appliances are created uniquely for you.

Braces for All Ages

Dental braces are not only for kids. There is no age limit when it comes to getting a great smile. A lot of adults missed on getting braces in their teens and want to straighten their teeth at a later time. We offer dental braces to patients of all ages.

How long do I have to wear braces?

The length of time you wear braces depends on various factors, including age, the degree of misalignment and the type of braces selected. Generally, patients wear braces for one to two years, but some may only need a few months, while others may take up to three years or more. A comprehensive assessment by your dentist will determine the severity of your teeth and the estimated time needed to wear braces. Keep in mind that the length of treatment may vary based on how well your teeth respond to the braces.

How to take care of your teeth while wearing braces?

Maintaining good oral hygiene is essential when wearing braces or a retainer to prevent tooth decay and infections. Brush your teeth after every meal and pack a toothbrush and toothpaste if necessary. Floss at least once a day and use small brushes provided by your dentist to clean in between each brace. Clean your retainers regularly, such as washing them every morning if you wear night retainers. Failure to properly clean retainers can quickly build up bacteria.
